OK lets get this started! What are some good lessons you have done in October.

My two successful oil pastel lessons
I do a large 18” x 24 “ oil pastel pumpkins lesson with my 5th grade,.  By discussing form, and how layering of colors can achieve this when using oil pastels.

I do another oil pastel lesson with my 2nd grade using apples. This lesson deals with color and shape.. The students draw an apple then use oil pastels, they must mix and blend colors. no solid color apples.

I have a large collection of fake fruit I bought at the $1 store. That way I have it year after year and also I found the kids o a better job identifying what colors to use because the fake fruit show actual paint strokes of red, purple, greens etc.
