I had the students make a pot that I could put leprechaun gold in (gold glitter) then they mixed the glitter in. Next I taught them how to make a Celtic knot shamrock from a snake. Then let them loose to create.

Students creating visual directions

I have students create visual directions like how Lego sets have. A 100 day of school is coming up I like to give the students a 100 Legos. They must then create a visual directions. As they build I have them create directions a rough draft at first. Next they create a final color version. This is an example of a first graders " pirate ship" directions. I like the top right corner shows the drawing of a ship. Then using math counts how many Legos should be placed using arrows. Older students could probably write a little more.

Smart fab

This has been a lesson saver thus year. Since budgets have cut this is what I bought in place of coastoy fabric. Not as good quality as cotton fabric but it makes up fir how easy it to use.
I can even cut up. To 4 pieces on my paper cutter! It then sticks together and becomes like a peel off sheet of fabric. Just like the construction paper packs you peel a sheet from.

Great creative sketch idea

What can you make out of popcorn?
